The New York City hosted the second Annual Women| Future conference on 14th and 15th November 2019. The Stevie Awards for Business present them. These particular awards are the world's premier business awards for female entrepreneurs, executives, employees, and the organizations they run. The entries for 2020 awards will start in May. Many businesswomen from all over the world came together to connect and learn.
Moreover,
women shared many experiences during the conference. The topics of this
conference were as diverse as the participants. One of the questions was why
did you attend the conference. On which one of the participants said that she
worked in consulting, finance, education, start-ups, and now entrepreneurship.
She further
added, "I wanted to be in a space with other businesswomen with different
business experiences to unite, learn and share while exploring what it means to
be a "futurist" today." Secondly, they asked women what they
learned at the conference.
"Being
a futurist, as so eloquently phrased by Manager, Global Consumer Trends and
Futuring at Ford Motor Company Sheryl Connelly, encompasses being curious and
imaginative around the question – How to service/serve communities and the
marketplace in the future?" Moreover, with that question in mind, speakers
shared personal and professional experiences, as well as best practices that
helped their business success.
Also, women
in this conference talked about various ups and downs one might face in the
business. Dealing with the problems in the industry is a skill every woman
should have. Curiosity will lead businesswomen to the skies of success.
Moreover, women's voices also demonstrated the power of sharing from a place of
vulnerability and creating an environment of psychological safety.
The
conference covered many topics, such as trends in robotics and healthcare —
furthermore, some general management topics like developing clear business
strategies and championing diversity and inclusion. Besides, women shared
experience on how to negotiate salary, how to navigate office politics. There
were countless opportunities to engage in this conference.
