Delaware County Brothers Win the Competition as the Best Craftsmen

Media, Pennsylvania-The Delaware County brothers were recently awarded the prestigious award for the best brickwork in Pennsylvania. Skilled masons Phil and Nick Bachetti won the Spec Mix Bricklayer 500 competition in northeastern Philadelphia on September 16th, a few weeks ago.

“The only thing that is really recognized is a big prize and a right to brag,” said Phil Bucketti.

The brothers are currently running for the national tournament in Las Vegas in January. In the area, more than 560 bricks were laid per hour. Both focus on training for competition, which won $ 1,000 among many prizes.

“It’s like going 150 mph,” explained Nick Bucketti.

It was led by Phil, an instructor at the Williamson College of the Trade, a higher education focused on trade such as carpentry and masonry.

The Bucketti brothers are confident that they will be able to win a major championship in Nevada. But more importantly, we hope that their victory will trigger the next generation to enter the masonry-like trade.

“These people are very sought after and needed,” said Phil Bucketti. “Before coming here, employers have come here and asked to hire men.”
