The Houston Astros will start Josesiri in Game 2 of the World Series with the Atlanta Braves with a center fielder instead of Chas McCormick.
This is Siri’s third start after the season and its fourth appearance. The 26-year-old rookie didn’t make it to the Division Series, with McCormick and Jake Mayers taking the time in the center field. However, he had the opportunity to contribute to the ALCS and World Series with Myers due to a shoulder injury.
Siri, who made her MLB debut on September 3, will be in 8th place.

Left-handed Tucker Davidson has replaced injured pitcher Charlie Morton on the Atlanta Braves World Series roster.
Major League Baseball announced a move before Game 2 between the Braves and the Houston Astros on Wednesday night.
Morton won the Braves opening 6-2 in the third inning after Yuli Gurriel’s 102-mph cambacker hit his right lower limb. The Braves said Morton broke his right fibula during the match and would miss spring training.
Twenty-five-year-old Davidson had 3.60 ERA in four big league starts this season after making his major debut in 2020. It was 2-2 at 1.17 ERA with four starts in the triple. Gwinnett made his final appearance on October 3rd. He missed much of the season with inflammation of his left forearm.
Davidson has not played in Major League Baseball postseason games.
