Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest went back to the future and went to outer space for Halloween.
They set foot on the time machine, recreating the beloved cartoons that were popular in the 1960s and appearing as The Jetsons, but that wasn’t the only television series disguised here.
They even mashed up “Queen’s Gambit” and “Squid Game”.
They wore a total of 40 outfits for the show, which was put together for days.
Kelly Ripa told witness news entertainment reporter Sandy Kennion, “I don’t know what the show was until we saw it behind the scenes while we were changing clothes.” “Then I like it.” Oh, that is What did you want me to do? !! I don’t fully understand the concept. “
This year’s theme was “Out of This World”. As Lipa joked, “We’ve always been a lot of space cadets around here, but it’s finally in fashion. It’s cool now.”
Ryan agreed, “Yeah, it’s cool.”
For the past few years, the “live” audience has been full of people in very elaborate costumes, but not during the pandemic where the audience had to join from home via Zoom.
“I miss the audience on this day, because everyone is wearing costumes,” said Seacrest. “Now we have the opportunity to see them on screen, but it’s incredible to see the audience show great creativity on this day.”
Executive producer Michael Gelman dressed up and took part in the fun, as did ABC7’s Vice President Art Moore.
“I think we can always dress up and capture all the gangsters in the camera,” Lipa concludes. “It’s just fun, and it’s what people like.”
