Shelby County, Illinois (Wand)-A suspect in Shelby County has been accused of spitting on police officers and injuring other law enforcement agencies while arresting them for theft.
According to Shelby County lawyer Nicole Kronke, 21-year-old Dalton M. Manes boarded a truck in Shelbyville on October 24 with the intention of stealing, and then owned another stolen GMC truck. I did. He has been accused of spitting on Shelbyville police officers and injuring him along with two Shelby County lawmakers while authorities arrested him.
Police found the stolen GMC after stating that it had collided with a house on First Street in Shelbyville.
Manes has illegal possession of a modified vehicle (class 2 felony), worsening battery to police officers (class 2 felony), robbery (class 2 felony), and worsening resistance to police officers (class 4 felony). Have been charged with three charges. His bail is set at $ 50,000 in Shelby County.
Manes will return to court for a preliminary hearing at 10:30 am on November 15.
The accusation stems from an investigation conducted by the Shelbyville Police Department and the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.
