Rockford residents arrested after loading a pistol in a stolen car

Rockford, Illinois (WTVO) —Two Rockford residents were arrested on Thursday after a loaded pistol reportedly stolen from Oak Lawn was found in the car.

Around 5:10 pm, Rockford Police officer SCOPE reportedly found a stolen vehicle in the areas of West Street and Cunningham Street. Passengers got off the vehicle and ran away on foot while attempting to stop the traffic.

Passenger Vantrell Keys, 24, was arrested after chasing his foot, and driver Jerome Davidson, 21, was detained without incident.

Fees Approved by Winnebago County Law Firm:

Vantrell Keys – Exacerbation of illegal use of weapons, illegal possession of ammunition, possession of stolen cars, resistance to arrest, and unpaid warrants.

Jerome Davidson – Possession of a stolen car and escape trying to escape.
