Video footage of a shooting in Chicago, injuring five people along Milwaukee Avenue in the Fulton River district

Chicago (WLS)-New dashcam video shows a horrifying rolling shootout injuring people in Chicago’s Fulton River district, just west of downtown.

In the video, you can hear the shooting volley as two cars run through the street and shoot at each other.

A woman walking down the street hears the shot and sees her wearing a cover.

According to the Chicago Police Department, the shooting began just before 5 pm near the intersection of 800 blocks in North Milwaukee, Halstead, Milwaukee and Grand.

“It was horrible, and it makes you suspect it’s happening during the day, it makes you suspect everything. It’s scary,” said nearby resident Karashwar.

Witnesses said they saw at least two cars chasing the streets and firing, police said. Witnesses saw at least one car in which the shooter had a gun outside the window.

One witness who wanted to remain anonymous said he believed that the person in the third car was videotaping everything.

“They were recording it with a real camera, not a phone,” witnesses said.

“I saw the rearview mirror, and I could see these guys turning towards us, and I seem to be, we got involved We are in the way now, “said Witness Stephen Neewisial.

One of the shots hit a cyclist who fell and landed in front of a Perilla Korean restaurant.

“We had a gentleman looking out the window and screaming for help, and he was shot,” said Thomas O of Perilla.

According to police, four innocent bystanders were shot dead in the incident.

“The next thing we know is that three cars on our side are coming to the other side of the traffic and shooting,” said Niewiedzial. “They were shooting a man in the first car. They were shooting him. He had a hole in his car and he had two flat tires and he was just going. The window and shooting. “

One of the victims was a man whose leg was shot while riding a Divvy bike near Kinsey and Milwaukee. A mobile phone video shows a Chicago police officer putting pressure on the wound. He is the most seriously injured and is seriously injured.

On the other side of the street, the second injured was similarly prone, with a couple traveling on a red sedan shot through the rear windshield.

A man suspected of being a shooter was also shot dead.

Residents are still shocked on Thursday.

“I don’t want to live in fear, but at the same time, there are some things at the national level that we need to take care of with regards to guns,” said fellow resident Blake Dunfee.

Roger Romaneri of the Fulton Markets Association is indignant.

“When the bullets fly, no one wants to go shopping and no one wants to eat out. This is a crisis in our city and we have these federal funds,” he said. “Use that money to solve the crime and stop COVID.”

Police said no one was currently in custody. Area 3 detectives are investigating.
