Has been updated:Spain Santa Ponsa (AP) Jeff Wintel took the one-shot lead with an 8-under 62 after the first round of the Mallorca Open on Thursday.
The Danish player had 10 birdies and 2 bogies on the Santa Ponsa course.
Two players, Niklas Lemke from Sweden and Bryce Easton from South Africa, recorded 63 seconds in the lowest round of their career on the European tour.
Five players, including Spaniards Jorge Campirillo and Alvaro Kiros, shot another shot in fourth-place tie.
The Mallorca Open is the third and final event of the Spanish Swing on the European Tour.
