Champaign, Illinois (Wand)-Around 8:57 pm Friday, Champaign police were summoned to 400 blocks of Nathaniel Burch Drive to report the shooting. According to their research, after the funeral, a group of individuals gathered in the parking lot of an apartment complex. There was controversy leading to a large exchange of shootings.
Police found a used shell casing and said a 40-year-old woman at the scene went to a local hospital with a gunshot wound on her torso. She has had surgery and is now alert and responsive.
