Today’s Illinois COVID Update: IL reports 4,705 cases and 9 deaths

Chicago (WLS)-Public health authorities in Illinois reported on Monday a new confirmed case of 4,705 COVID-19 and nine associated deaths.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been a total of 1,775,253 COVID cases, including 26,277 deaths in the state.

State-wide test positive rate for 7 days from November 15th to November. 21 is 3.9%.

Within the last 24 hours, the institute reported testing a total of 38,278,601 94,955 new specimens since the pandemic began.

As of Sunday night, 1,833 patients in Illinois were reported to be hospitalized with COVID-19. Of these, 341 patients were in the ICU and 153 COVID-19 patients were on mechanical ventilation.

As of Monday, a total of 16,867,996 vaccines have been administered in Illinois, with 57.57% of the state’s population fully vaccinated. The 7-day moving average of the daily vaccine is 62,002.
