Boston University QB Yurkobeck returns to senior season

Boston-Boston University quarterback Phil Jurkoveck said Monday that he would return to the senior season instead of entering the NFL draft.

“I will return to Chestnut Hill in 2022 to get a degree in economics, improve all aspects of the game and compete nationwide,” he said in a statement released by the school. ..

Yurkobeck threw 2,558 yards and 17 touchdowns during the 2020 season, when the pandemic was shortened. This year he injured his right wrist in the second week and missed six games before returning on November 11.

The Eagles went 4-2 at his start in 2021 and 10-6 in his career. He is the fifth in school history and has played six 300-yard pass games in just 16 games.
