According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, a jury deliberated within an hour on Monday before 74-year-old Moshepolat was found guilty of federal conspiracy and wire fraud.

Despite being dismissed as Dean, Polat maintained his tenure as Professor Temple. The university has since taken steps to scrutinize and audit data submissions, the newspaper reported.
According to court records, a hearing for the judge to determine Polat’s decision has not yet been scheduled. Prosecutors have previously stated that if convicted, they will face up to 25 years in prison.
