Las Vegas (KLAS) – According to the Nevada Parole and Probation Office, OJ Simpson was granted early release from parole.
Simpson has been paroleed since October 1, 2017 and was scheduled to be released on February 9, 2022.
Simpson served for his role in the 2007 failed robbery at the Palace Station Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. In the robbery, Simpson was trying to get the souvenir back.
On October 4, 2008, Simpson was found guilty of armed robbery and kidnapping and sentenced to 33 years in prison. He was granted parole and was released in 2017.
“On November 30, 2021, based on the written recommendations of the Parole and Probation Office, the Nevada Probation Commission conducted an early discharge hearing for Mr. Simpson in accordance with NRS 213.1543. The decision to exempt parole early was decided. Was ratified on December 6, 2021. “
The Parole Commission acknowledged Simpson for his remaining parole decisions and said he had shortened the decision to “duration of service.”
Simpson, who lives in Las Vegas, has been in the spotlight since its release in 2017 and frequently posts comments on social media about various news events.
Simpson’s most famous legal issue preceded the 2007 armed robbery. Former soccer star was acquitted in 1995 after being tried for the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.
