The Georgia Republican account has been permanently suspended under Twitter’s “strike” system, which began in March. This system uses artificial intelligence to identify posts about the coronavirus that are harmful and misleading to people. A few strikes will result in a 12 hour account lock. Four strikes will result in a one-week outage. Five or more strikes could permanently remove someone from Twitter.
In a statement about the messaging app Telegram, Greene accused Twitter of moving as a non-American. She writes that her account was suspended after tweeting statistics from the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, a government database containing unconfirmed raw data.
“Twitter is an enemy of the United States and can’t handle the truth,” Green said. “It’s okay. It’s time to show America that we don’t need them and defeat the enemy.”
Twitter previously suspended Greene’s personal account for 12 hours to a week. This ban applies to Green’s personal account @mtgreenee, but does not affect her official Twitter account @RepMTG.
The first phase has repeatedly sparked controversy over inflammatory commentary.
On social media, she supports the unfounded QAnon pro-Donald Trump conspiracy theory, including the racialist view, the lie that the 2020 elections were stolen, and the Democratic Party, including Congressman Nancy Pelosi and D-Kalifu. Calling for violence against politicians.
Last February, Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell called her conspiracy-theoretic embrace and “Looney Rye” “Republican cancer.” That same month, the Democratic-led house threw her out of her two committee missions, the Home Education and Labor Commission and the Home Budget Commission.
In July, Twitter suspended Greene for a week After President Joe Biden urged tech companies to take stronger action against fake vaccine claims that they are “killing people.” Twitter says it defended its efforts to remove dangerous false alarms about COVID-19 from the site, deleted thousands of tweets around the world, and challenged millions of accounts.
According to her Telegram account, Green’s last tweet mistakenly mentioned “death from a very large amount of corona vaccine” one Saturday.
Last week, Green also bragged about talking on the phone with the former president on Twitter. She encourages people to get vaccines and boosters, but said she has received Trump’s permission to clarify his position that he opposes vaccine obligations. Mr. Trump was booed by a part of the Dallas audience when he said he had received a COVID-19 booster shot on December 19.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, White House’s chief medical adviser, said on Sunday that new COVID-19 cases were nearly “vertically increasing” in the United States, now averaging 400,000 cases per day and increasing hospitalizations. Said that. The Omicron variant of COVID-19 has caused a surge in new cases nationwide.
