Clinton, Illinois (Wand)-The Illinois Natural Resources Conservation Service said the body was recovered from Lake Clinton on Tuesday.
IDNR protection police were dispatched to Clinton Lake Valley Mill Fishing Access after reporting that fishermen had seen vehicles and bodies floating on the edge of the lake.
Authorities recovered the body of a 65-year-old Clinton man near the shore of the lake.
IDNR Conservation Police, De Witt County Sheriff’s Office, De Witt County EMS, De Witt County Coroner, Clinton Fire Department, and Illinois State Police responded to the scene.
The case is under investigation.
