Chicago Crash: Five people were injured after a driver went in the wrong direction on a Dusable Lakeshore drive near Bryn Mawr in Edgewater, CPD said.

Chicago (WLS)-Five people were injured early Monday when drivers went the wrong way on Dusable Lakeshore Drive on the North Side, Chicago Police Department said.

Around 2 am, a white Chevy sedan headed south in the northbound lane, and the car collided with a black Toyota sedan in block 5600 of Dusable Lakeshore Drive near Bryn Mawr Avenue, according to CPD.

A total of five people were taken to the hospital with various injuries, according to the Chicago Police Department.

A female Chevrolet driver suffered a life-threatening injury and was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston in good condition. A female Chevrolet passenger was taken to the Illinois Masonic Medical Center in a critical situation.

A man driving a black Toyota, like two male passengers, was taken to Freemasonry in a serious condition.

Fares are pending and the northbound lane of Dusable Lakeshore Drive near Edgewater remained closed around 6:30 am
