Chicago (CBS) — Cook County Grants $ 200,000 Grant Lawrence Hall..
This is a community service agency that helps break the cycle of violence and imprisonment. Lawrence Hall leaders want to give hope to children in problem areas and show them a healthier path to life.
The money comes from the Cook County Judiciary Advisory Board. It addresses mental health, educational and emotional support and funds Lawrence Hall’s program to prevent children from repeatedly becoming criminals and returning to prison.
This money is part of the county’s $ 1.5 million investment in addressing the root causes of crime and violence.
