One killed and two injured in a weekend shooting in Danville | Top Story

Danville, Illinois (Wand)-Saturday night shooting in Danville killed one and injured two.

In the first shooting, police responded Saturday at 10:28 pm in the areas of Franklin and Davis for reports of the shooting. Police found two 16-year-old boys with gunshot wounds.

One of the victims was treated and released from the hospital. The second was taken to the hospital by ambulance and his condition is unknown.

Victims said strangers or people began shooting them when they were walking down the railroad tracks and they were struck.

Police then responded Saturday at 10:37 pm to the 1900 block of Deerwood Drive for a gunshot report. They found a 32-year-old man lying on the road. He was taken to the hospital and died of a wound.

Authorities are continuing the investigation. No other information is currently available.
