Phoenix (AP) — The first sports betting business in Arizona officially opens on Thursday in time for the start of the NFL season, with live betting at college and professional sports online and Phoenix retailers. I was gambling.

The Caesers Sportsbook was opened in a temporary space using Chase Field’s five Diamondbacks ticket windows. Team officials said it was the first major league baseball stadium where fans could bet directly. Diamondbacks plans to open a more permanent space early next year.
The Footprint Center, home of the Suns, Phoenix Mercury and Arizona Rattlers football teams, hosts the FanDuel Sportsbook.
