Washington (AP) —Three former US intelligence and military operatives have agreed to pay approximately $ 1.7 million to resolve criminal charges for providing advanced hacking techniques to the United Arab Emirates.
Washington’s federal court indictment accuses defendants Mark Bayer, Ryan Adams, and Daniel Gericke of helping develop “an advanced secret hacking system for UAE government agencies.” He said he used the stolen credentials to access personal and personal information from computers, including businesses in the United States.
