Montpelier, Vermont (AP) — Vermont is represented by a series of new dollar coins issued by the US Mint in the image of a snowboarder.
The $ 1 coin “American Innovation” series will begin in 2018 and will eventually include coins from each state, District of Columbia, and five US territories.
Vermont coins will be released in 2022. This shows that the snowboarder is holding the edge of the board while doing the trick.
Snowboarding isn’t made in Vermont, but many advances in sports come from the state.
