Charleston crash kills motorcyclist | Top Story

Charleston, Illinois (Wand)-A motorcyclist died after colliding with a parked vehicle in Charleston.

According to the Coles County Sheriff’s Office, 43-year-old Paul M. Rosser in Paris is riding a black 2019 Harley-Davidson heading west on Madison Avenue on Third Street while traveling at high speed. According to officials, the motorcycle left the road, hit two parking blocks, and re-entered Madison Avenue while driving against traffic.

The motorcycle then collided with a parked vehicle on the south side of Madison Avenue, began to fall, and rested a short distance west.

Rosser was taken to Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital, where he was sentenced to death.

Charleston Police, Charleston Firefighters, and Coles County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.
