Chicago has a new anonymous tips hotline for resolving murder and gun trafficking.
The hotter the tip, the higher the cash reward.

Chicago Police Department police officer David Brown unveiled a new program on Friday.
This differs from other anonymous tip programs in the way cash rewards are paid. Chips that lead to murder earn $ 1000, and if the crime is convicted, you get $ 15,000. If more than 10 guns are involved, the tip leading to the gun trafficking fee will be $ 3,000, and if convicted, it will be an additional $ 2,000.
