Jobita MooreAtlanta’s long-loved television newscaster died last night, seven months after revealing that she had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain tumor. She was 53 years old.
Her death was announced by Atlanta Station WSB-TV in a statement stating that Moore died overnight. “In April, doctors found two masses in Jobita’s brain,” the statement explained. “After surgery, they diagnosed her as the most common type of brain tumor, glioblastoma.” There is no cure for glioblastoma.
Moore participated in WSB Channel 2 Action News in 1998 and aired an evening news program. Prior to employment in Atlanta, Moore began his television career after broadcasting on WMC-TV in Memphis and KFSM in Fayetteville, Arkansas and Fort Smith, graduating from the Columbia University Journalism Graduate School in New York in 1990. bottom. According to the WSB, Moore has donated hours to citizens and nonprofits in the Atlanta area, coaching students and attending several boards.
