Netflix saw a significant increase in third-quarter earnings on Tuesday thanks to enhanced slate titles, including the Korean dystopian survival drama Squid Game.
According to the company, the number of subscribers increased 9% year-on-year to 213.6 million, exceeding the company’s forecast.
Netflix generated $ 1.45 billion in the last quarter, or $ 3.19 per share. This is an increase from $ 789.9 million a year ago or $ 1.79 per share.
Revenue increased 16% from $ 6.44 billion to $ 7.48 billion.
According to a FactSet poll, analysts expected an average of $ 2.56 in revenue and $ 7.48 billion in revenue per share.
The Los Gatos, Calif.-based share price rose $ 4.07 to $ 639 during non-business hours.
