The village of Dixmoor lost water supply due to low water pressure

Dixmoor, Illinois — Village officials said Dixmoor residents were left out of water on Saturday after water pressure dropped to half normal levels.

Village officials said water pressure levels must be in the range of 35-36 pounds per square inch to service the village. On Saturday, pressure levels dropped to single digits at various points.

The village declared a state of emergency last Thursday as the village’s water problems continued. Village water is only sourced from the nearby city of Harvey.
