Joliet, Illinois (WTVO) — Two people were killed and dozens injured after a gunner fired at Joliet’s Halloween site on Sunday.

The shooting was said to have taken place at around 12:40 am on 1000 blocks on East Jackson Street. Chicago Sun Times.. Witnesses said two shooters near the DJ booth fired at more than 200 crowds “from a high position on the porch overlooking the crowd.”

Patrol sergeants in the area reportedly heard as many as 12 bullets and began an investigation when more than 100 people were seen fleeing their homes. Police officers found more than 12 people with gunshot wounds in their backyards and nearby dwellings. Authorities apparently heard additional ammunition in the area during the investigation.

Two of the victims were killed in the wounds and the other four were injured, which could be life-threatening.

According to the sheriff, one of the shooters was a medium-sized hispanic man with dark-haired trousers, a red hooded sweatshirt, and a flat black hat. Another suspect is a medium-sized, light-skinned man, probably Hispanic or black, wearing a ski mask and a yellow hooded sweatshirt.
