The Ohio State University was second in the Associated Press’s college football vote, jumping three spots on Sunday, surpassing third-placed Alabama and fourth-placed Cincinnati.
Georgia is unanimously number one in APTop 25, announced by Regions Bank for seven consecutive weeks, but has changed second for two consecutive weeks.
Alabama slipped through Cincinnati last week, and Ohio State University jumped over both after routing Michigan State University 56-7 on Saturday. The Birth of The Birth scored 1,434 points from the media panel. Crimson Tide was 1,423 and Bearcats was 1,416.
The University of Notre Dame will reach fifth place, the highest of the season, and Michigan will face sixth-place Ohio State University next Saturday. The Birth of the Wolverines winner will take part in the Big Ten Championship Game.
Oklahoma has moved to 7th place, the highest of the season, and is one of the three Big 12 teams in the second half of the Top 10, alongside 9th Baylor and 10th Oklahoma.
The Cowboys will host the Snurs next Saturday with a bed ram game that will help determine the participants in the Big 12 Championship. Oklahoma has won the spot, and Baylor and Oklahoma are still alive.
Mississippi finishes the top 10 in 8th place.
Voting points
Michigan State University was one of two teams that were blown away last Saturday and ranked in the top ten.
Sparta dropped five spots to 12th place after losing to Ohio, and Oregon fell from 4th to 11th after being hit by Utah 38-7. Utah rose 8th to 16th.
The two top 10 teams lost more than 30 points on the same day on September 22, 1984, with Florida’s 15th place being Miami 38-3 and Nebraska’s 1st place being UCLA42. -3.
— For the first time this season, no team was out of the rankings.
The four ranked teams lost in total, with Wake Forest and Arkansas joining Oregon and Michigan. Demon Deacon was the only ranked team to lose to the unranked team. Wake’s biased defeat at Clemson dropped Dikes eight spots to 21st place.
The No. 25 Arkansas fell four spots after losing to Alabama in a touchdown, slightly preventing Clemson from returning to the top 25 for the first time since the last weekend in September. Razorbucks scored 105 points against Clemson’s 101.
