Chicago Highway Shooting Today: Those Shot at I-290 near Des Plaines, All IB Eisenhower Lanes Reopened, ISPs Say

Broadview, Illinois (WLS)-All lanes on the Eisenhower Highway were closed as police investigated a shooting near Broadview Thursday afternoon.

Illinois police said one person was shot dead at about 2:30 pm on the eastbound I-290 between Des Plaines and Harlem streets.

According to state police, the victim was taken to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.

After 5 pm, all inbound lanes were closed near Des Plaines Avenue to investigate highway shootings, according to state police.Lane resumed just before 6pm

Troopers were seen looking for shell casings along a pond near 17th Avenue.
