Illinois Adds International Aggressive Lineman | Sports

Champaign-Illinois coach Brett Burma has prioritized clearly offensive lines in the 2022 class recruitment. Irini added a fifth lineman on Monday with the commitment of Danish tackle Magnus Moller.

From Denmark, Møller chose Irini by combining the FBS program with scholarship offers from the FCS program. Other unranked tackle offers at 6’8,300 pounds included Brown, Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Dartmouth, Eastern Michigan, Fordham, Fresno, Louisville and UMass.

With the addition of Møller, Illinois has achieved a total of 18 commitments in the 2022 class and is now five offensive linemen. Moller will be in the next class with Joe Iokra, an Arrowhead (Wisconsin) guard in Champaign, Tackle Hunter Whitenack in New Prairie (Indiana), Tackle Matfly in Cranford (New Jersey), and Clayton Leonard in Iroquois Westguard. I will join.

The 2022 recruitment class in Illinois is ranked 10th in the Big Ten and 45th in the country at 247Sports. Ilini’s final class, organized primarily by former coach Rabbie Smith and his staff, was ranked 13th in the Big Ten and 73rd nationwide.
