San Francisco – Less successful in the last 50 years, some might say that it was one of the more anticipated regular season games for the Bulls for some time.
It was a good time to see how Billy Donovan’s team will face the best NBA teams, keeping the view that there are 71 games left in November alone. After a disappointing season, the strong play encouraged Golden State to take part in a Friday contest in San Francisco that looked like it used to be, setting a 10-1 record.
But 48 minutes later, the Bulls team began to return to one of the NBA’s elite, revealing that some work was still needed.
Supported by another strong night by Stephen Curry, the Warriors fled the Bulls in the last three-quarters and handed a humble 119-93 defeat at Chase Center on Friday night. It’s their most decisive defeat of the season and it’s the first time they’ve dropped the game by double digits as their record dropped to 8-4.
Curry’s 40 points, including the 9-3 pointer, helped to erase the 6-point Bulls lead after the first quarter as the Golden State slowly pulled away as the game continued. They hit 15 3 pointers in the evening, surpassing visitors by 12 in the second quarter and 18 in the third quarter.
After testing positive for COVID-19, the Bulls who played without Nikola Vucevic, who participates in the NBA’s Health and Safety Protocol, failed to respond. Zach LaVine (23 points) and DeMar DeRozan (18 points) were the only two players whose team made 20 turnovers, suffering from the ball and scoring double digits.
The Donovan team had a spectacular night as they continued their five-game Western Conference Road Trip without Vucevic. They will play against the Clippers on Sunday and want a better show with other strong teams than the first team on this trip on Friday night.
