Beloit woman dies after car crashes into a fire engine

Beloit, Wisconsin (WTVO) — A 43-year-old woman died Saturday afternoon after a car crashed into a fire engine.

According to Beloit police, the incident took place at Leason Park at around 4:03 pm. The Beloit City Fire Department is reportedly dispatched to report that some vehicles in the park were unresponsive. A fire engine was on the road when the vehicle escaped from the scene and collided.

Firefighters said a female passenger fell in the car before the collision. She was taken to a local emergency room where she was sentenced to death.

Vehicle driver Marvin E. Flint, 56, of Rockford was arrested for driving drunk.

Beloit city officials were not injured in the collision.
