Pana, Illinois (Wand)-A man in Pana has been accused of multiple burglary thefts and abuse of police officers.
Officials said they investigated the house on the night of December 4, after the security cameras were removed from the house north of Pana. Ryan L. Tarrant, 30, was arrested on December 12 for property theft and property damage, and was subsequently notified to appear in court and released. Those accusations were misdemeanors.
Later, on December 15, police said they learned from the homeowner that his home had been torted on December 13 and things had been stolen from inside. Pana police have identified the talent as a suspect in this case with the help of additional surveillance cameras. Tarant was later charged with burglary.
The same house moved in twice, so a second burglary charge was filed.
Police said the police were injured as the talent tried to escape from the police during processing at the Pana police station and the struggle continued. Officers were released after they were treated at Pana Hospital.
Tarant has been charged with police-weighted batteries in two charges, injury and burglary. He is detained at the Christian County Orthodontic Center.
His debt was set at $ 75,000 on his first appearance in court on Thursday.
Note: Christian County Prison has asked WAND News to call back on Friday for a talent mugshot.
