Montreal – It was one of the moments to make history where everything was perfectly gathered on Thursday night.

-Tracy, Quebec and Marc-Andre Fleury had the chance to win his 500th career win as goalkeeper against the Canadians in Montreal. The Blackhawks goalkeeper missed a chance to play the Rangers at the United Center on Tuesday, setting a better position to make history.
Not surprisingly, Fleury did not miss this opportunity and did so in the right way.
When time was running out, crowds chanted his name, and the goalkeeper shut out the Canadiens with a 2-0 Blackhawks victory at Bell Center on Thursday night. Fleury’s 30 saves and the goals of Jonathan Toews and Henrik Borgstrom were enough to make history in Montreal this evening.
The goalkeeper has achieved 500 wins, the third in NHL history, and has joined Martin Brodure (691) and Patrick Roy (551) as members of an exclusive club.
“It was a bit crazy,” said Fleury, a fan who chanted his name after the match. “It was a great feeling to have such a wonderful reception in Montreal.”
Thursday’s victory was just the eighth in his career as a member of the Blackhawks after he was traded to the team from the Golden Knights during the summer. He has won 117 games in four years in Las Vegas, most of which came as a member of the Penguin for 14 years.
In Pittsburgh, Fleury won 375 games, helped the team win the Stanley Cup three times, and established himself as one of the elite goalkeepers in the history of the game. The Canadiens shutout on Thursday was 44th in his career and 2nd this season.
The Blackhawks only participated in the historic chase of 500 wins, but participating on Thursday moments is special for his teammates in just a few months.
“That’s amazing,” said Captain Jonathan Touz. “It’s worthy for him to win this victory in Montreal.
