Denver (AP) — Denver Broncos celebrated Demarius Thomas’ memory on Sunday with a 38-10 fuss about tributes, decals and Detroit Lions.
Running backs Javon Williams and Melvin Gordon each won a touchdown pair, and Delémont Jones played a monster game that included Jared Goff’s two sack.
Some Broncos arrived at the stadium in a jersey number 88, and kicker Brandon McManus wore a custom cleat featuring Thomas’ famous one-mile-wide smile. The retired recipient died Thursday at his home in Georgia at the age of 33.

Gordon, who missed a shoulder and hip injury last week in Kansas City, scored 111 yards with a 24-carry and Williams ran 73 yards in 15 attempts with a 10-yard TD grab.

Among the many players promoted from the Lions practice team over the weekend was the Craig Reynolds running back.
