Mayor Lori Lightfoot has proposed $ 2.9 million to social worker Anjanet Young after the Chicago Police Department’s raid failed.

Chicago (WLS)-The Chicago City Council Finance Commission will approve Anjanet Young’s $ 2.9 million settlement on Monday.

Young is a social worker whose Near West Side home was accidentally attacked by the Chicago Police Department in 2019.

A year later, a video of the incident was televised. When she begged the police, it showed Young being handcuffed and naked and told them they had the wrong house. When the situation became clear, she was forced to remain naked in front of a police officer for 40 minutes.

The mayor of Chicago, Lori Lightfoot, has proposed a multi-million dollar settlement. If approved by the Commission on Monday, the settlement will go to the full council for consideration later this week.
