Montreal (AP) Ondrey Parat had 38 seconds left in the third period, and Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Montreal Canadiens 3-2 on Tuesday night.

Tampa Bay’s victory will take place just five months after Lightning defeats the Canadians in the 2021 Stanley Cup Finals.

Patrick Maroon and Corey Perry also scored in Tampa Bay. Andrei Vasilevskiy made 21 saves.

Nick Suzuki and Mike Hoffman scored in Montreal.Jake Allen stopped 24 out of 27

Tampa Bay lags behind 2-1 after surrendering goals to Suzuki and Hoffman, but Lightning rebounded in the third season.

In his first match in Montreal, Perry set the stage for the Palato winner by scoring a tie goal with just over two minutes left.

Maroon scored in the first period of Tampa Bay. When Kale Clague flipped the puck in front of an own goal, the Canadians made an early mistake, giving Maroon an easy opportunity to lead the first Lightning.

Montreal was Suzuki’s sixth goal of the season, a one-on-one draw at 4:20 in the second period.

Hoffman scored a go-a-head goal with a shot from the top of the face-off circle that defeated Vasilevsky through many players.

Perry drew the match 2-2 at 2:06.

Palato won the winner at 19:22 in the third period.
