Lake County, Illinois – Former shameful Fox Lake policeman Joe Grinievic’s wife will plead guilty on Friday and avoid trial.
Melodie Gliniewicz has been charged with helping her deceased husband embezzlement money.
Lieutenant Grinjevic committed suicide in 2015 after discovering that authorities were embezzling money from his youth police explorer program.
Grinievich was buried in honor before a large manhunt followed and authorities discovered what really happened.
The Melodie Gliniewicz trial was scheduled to begin next week with a number of fraudulent acts. Her decision is currently set for April 12.
She initially pleaded not guilty.
