Falcons Pro Human Resources Manager Sabo Leaves After 12 Seasons

Flowery Branch, Georgia-Steve Sabo, director of professional staff at the Atlanta Falcons, will leave the team after 12 seasons.

In a Sabo statement released by the Falcons on Monday, he and general manager Terry Fontenot “mutually decided that a new opportunity had come.”

Sabo played many roles in the Falcons. Among them, he served as the player’s personnel manager for one season under former general manager Thomas Dimitroff, and as the university scout manager for six years.

The Falcons, along with Fontenot and Arthur Smith, finished 7-10 in 2021 in the team’s first season. It was the fourth consecutive defeat season for the team.

Atlanta will be ranked 8th overall in the NFL Draft from April 28th to 30th.

Sabo had a great ride in his 12 seasons in Atlanta with multiple playoff appearances, including participation in the 2016 Super Bowl LI, among many other victories and memories.
