Springfield, Illinois (Wand)-Fire brigade responds to a building fire on 800 blocks on South 24th Street.
Springfield Fire Fighters Local 37 shared on Facebook and saw a lot of smoke coming from the area.
Upon arriving at the scene, the crew reported that the roof of the structure had partially collapsed and launched the first attack.
After checking the inside, it was determined that the fire was coming from the outside of the roof, according to people familiar with the matter.
According to the authorities, the fire was extinguished and an investigator in the fire safety department was asked to investigate.
