(NEXSTAR) – Taco Bell has announced the resurgence of its “beloved” former food — but that’s probably not what you’re thinking.
After resting for 7 years from the menu Taco Bell Klondike chocolate tacos will be sold in selected locations in Southern California and Wisconsin announced by the chain. According to Taco Bell, the promotion will start on Thursday and testing is scheduled for “limited supply.”
ChocoTaco, a novel dessert item featuring fudge swirling ice cream wrapped in a chocolate wafer “shell”, has been somehow continuous to consumers since the mid-1980s, primarily at convenience stores and ice cream trucks. According to the release, the return of Taco Bell to the Taco Bell menu also commemorates the 100th anniversary of Klondike.
Customers can now order Choco Taco for $ 2.99 (excluding tax) at some Taco Bell locations in Southern California and the Milwaukee region.
