At least seven children were injured and a four-year-old boy was killed in separate shootings in Chicago this weekend.
From Saturday night to Sunday morning, six children were shot dead in just 12 hours.
According to data from ABC 7 Chicago, at least 280 minors have been shot dead so far this year, 35 of whom have died.
At least two were recovering at Kammer Children’s Hospital on Sunday morning.

Doctors worked 24 hours in an attempt to save young, innocent victims when community activists called on people to hand over shooters.
The child’s parents were by his side, but the toddler did not.
According to police, the boy was taken to Kammer Children’s Hospital and later died.
“It’s hard enough for this mom and dad to sit in the hospital and see this little guy with a tube all over his body. He’s trying to breathe,” Holmes said.
Those who provide information that could lead to the arrest of a boy’s death are currently being rewarded with $ 9,000.
“We’re sick of it. All these kids will be shot at this hospital,” said another activist.
Chicago Police Department said a 15-year-old boy was shot on his thigh at 7,000 blocks on South Sangamon Street around 10:25 pm on Saturday.
They said he was okay at the hospital on Sunday.
The victim told police that he was walking outside when he was carrying a gun while driving on a white Honda.
Shortly thereafter, the teen was hit by a bullet.
Another child of Kamer Childrens is a 13-year-old boy whose head was shot around 8 pm on Saturday.
Chicago Police Department said the child was in a house near 85th Avenue and Marquette Avenue when someone started shooting.
Police have not revealed whether the shooter is at home or outside.
There were two more shootings involving teens on Sunday morning near East 55th Street and on South Tumble Avenue.
With these shootings, all 14, 17, and 18 years old recovered in the hospital with gunshot wounds.
Police said all three victims were okay.
After his brother and sister were injured, two brothers, 12 and 15 years old, were also injured. Taken while attending a new semester event at East Garfield Park Saturday afternoon.
