Snapchat has long had features that help solve math problems, but now it’s centered around that feature.
“It’s all about making the camera feel more magical,” said Eva Zhan of Snap.
Simply open the app, hold your smartphone over the math problem, and tap the new “scan” icon below the shutter button.
The AI will scan the problem and get the answer in seconds.
“Especially in math, having to type in a search is a very difficult problem, while it would be very helpful if we could take the camera out and scan it to get an answer quickly,” Zhan said. ..
Google Lens is smart of all kinds. You can recognize everything you take a picture of, including math problems.
Open the Google app on your mobile phone and tap the camera icon in the search bar.

Photomath is the king of math-solving apps.
Not only is it great for recognizing all kinds of math problems, but it is also the most popular because it explains the answers in detail. It solves over 2.2 billion math problems every month.
“We help students tackle the problem and understand how to tackle it through a series of step-by-step explanations,” said Jennifer Lee of Photomath.
The app has released a new feature called “Animation Tutorial with Audio” that explains how you got the answer using computer-generated audio.
“It’s supposed to mimic the way tutors explain it on whiteboards and blackboards, but it’s all computer-generated,” Lee said.
Photomath is free to use, but if you really want to get the most out of it, you can buy premium features for $ 5 to $ 10 per month.

It’s not as full-featured or sophisticated as Photomath, but you can solve the problem by taking a picture. Alternatively, you can use your finger to draw on the screen or enter a question in.
