Right-handed Kyle Wright and outfielder / pinch runner Terence Gore were added to the Atlanta Braves roster ahead of the World Series match against the Houston Astros on Tuesday night, with right-handed Jacob Webb and infielder Johan Camargo dropped. I did.
Infielder Marwin Gonzalez has been added to the Houston roster and outfielder Jake Meyers has been removed.
Wright hasn’t played in Major League Baseball since June 23rd. The 26-year-old’s last pitch was on October 2, when he threw a triple A Gwinnett shutout inning against Jacksonville seven times. He was 0-1 at 9.95 ERA in two big league games this year and 10-5 at 3.02 ERA at Gwinnett’s 24 starts.
Wright started twice in the 2020 playoffs, throwing six scoreless innings against Miami, winning Division Series Game 3 and losing to the Los Angeles Dodgers in Championship Series Game 3 to score two outs. However, I allowed 7 runs. Current Braves teammate Joc Pederson hit a three-run home run and Edwin Rios hit a solo shot.
Gore was on the list of Division Series against Milwaukee and played once in Game 2 on behalf of Pederson.
Gonzales, a member of Houston’s 2017 World Series Champion, hasn’t played since the final round of the regular season on October 3rd. He hit .176 with 34 at-bats after the Astros signed him in August following his release from Boston.
Myers was injured by hitting his left shoulder against a wall in Game 4 of the Division Series on October 12, and hasn’t played since.
