Decatur, Illinois (WAND)-Local vendors have the opportunity to sell their products at the Millikin Makers Market in Decatur.

According to a press release, the event was developed by the Tabor School of Business Student Organization, Entrepreneurship and Women’s Center for Business. 32 vendors are planned.

From 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday, November 6th, vendors will meet at the Overhermann Center for Leadership Performance on the ground floor of University Commons at Millikin University in Decatur. This event is free and open to the public.

Makers, craftsmen and artists from the Millikin and Macon counties will be able to participate. It is open to local junior and senior high school students.

“Originally, the idea was to provide a platform for selling goods and services to all manufacturers on the Millikin University campus, but it attracted a lot of interest from local schools, so locals. We have published a vendor application for junior and senior high schools, said Bethany Gotz, program coordinator at Millikin University’s Center for Entrepreneurship.

A wide range of products and services are available, including clothing, personalized gifts, soaps, candles, tumblers, jewelry, artwork, greeting cards and baked goods. Services include make-up, photography and cello services for weddings and other special events.
