Honolulu(KHON2) – The prosecutor said the man accused of hitting a Hawaiian Airlines flight attendant had been heard a few weeks before the incident.
Stephen Sloan Jr., 32, returned to federal court on Thursday for a detention trial. The judge ruled that he poses a serious risk to himself or others and must continue to be detained.
The prosecutor told the judge that Sloan had been listening for at least two weeks and questioned whether he had the psychic ability to proceed with the hearing. The defense claimed that Sloan was capable, and the judge agreed.
