Uncertain about the Patriots match with Jets’ Mosley hamstrings | WGN Radio 720

CJ Mosley, a New York Jets linebacker at Florham Park, NJ, is dealing with a hamstring injury that could put him aside in a team match in New England on Sunday.

Coach Robert Surrey said Wednesday that Mosley was injured after losing 27-20 to Atlanta in London on October 10. He has not participated in the practice and is evaluated to determine if he can play daily. 1-4 jets.

“He’s still looking forward to the game,” Sale said.

Mosley is the team captain who leads the jet with 45 tackles after missing most of the last two seasons. Due to inguinal / core muscle damage, he was limited to two games in 2019, his first season in New York, and Mosley opted out last season due to a coronavirus pandemic.

“He’s happy with (playing),” Sale said. “When it comes to these lower limb injuries, you just feel the player. Each player is different, but they appear on the MRI.”

Saleh did not reveal the severity of the hamstring injury when asked how tense Mosley had.

“He is confident,” Sale said. “He has dealt with these before, and now that 10 days have passed, we’ll see what happens in the week.”

If Mosley can’t play, Jets will be a little shorthand at the middle linebacker spot.

Expected starter Jarad Davis remains on the sidelines as he suffered a left ankle injury during a training camp and is not expected to be rejuvenated from the injured list this week. Rookie Hamsah Nasirildeen also has a knee injury and continues IR.

Rookie Jamien Sherwood could take over Mosley’s role as Mike’s linebacker, who broadcasts the play defensively. Quincy Williams, an exemption claim from Jacksonville, was a pleasant surprise while ranking second in the team with 31 tackles. Jets also has Blake Cashman on his active roster and linebacker Noah Dawkins on his practice team. New York has protected Dawkins with a practice team this week to prevent other teams from signing.

“We’re okay with linebacker spots. Many people have a lot of play time,” Sale insisted.

For other injuries, Marcus May was practicing the safety and will play this week after missing two games due to an ankle injury.

Tyler Kroft, a tight-end who couldn’t play in London, sat with his back injured. He had previously appeared in reports of injuries due to rib disease.

“I give him credit,” Sale said. “It’s not easy for him to experience.”
