Milan `(AP) — Bryan Adams tested positive for COVID-19 when he arrived at Malpensa Airport in Milan on Thursday prior to the announcement of his 2022 Pirelli Calendar.
Rock’n Roller of Canada disclosed a positive test in an Instagram post. This post included a picture of him taken for a more reliable PCR test after being tested, sitting in an ambulance. He wore a surgical mask and sat normally.
“I’m here just arriving in Milan and my COVID test was positive twice a month,” Adams said in a post. “So I’m going to the hospital for me.” He thanked the fans for their support.
Adams, who also enjoys his career as a photographer, shot the 2022 Pirelli Calendar after first engaging in the shooting of the 2021 edition, which was canceled due to a pandemic. Adams was expected to appear at a face-to-face press conference promoting the Sunday and Monday calendars, which is now uncertain.
Usually, the announcement of the Pirelli Calendar is a gala event with performers and other VIPS, but due to the ongoing pandemic this year, the guest list for evening cocktails was strict and already shrunk.
Adams chose other musical talents such as Iggy Pop, Sher, Jennifer Hudson, Sweetie, and St. Vincent as the subject of a calendar called “On the Road.”
