Las Vegas (AP) — Raiders wide receiver Henry Lux III faces drunk driving after a severe vehicle accident in Las Vegas early Tuesday kills a woman and injures Ragus and her passengers. Officials said.
According to police, Las was driving a Chevrolet Corvette shortly before 3:40 am and collided behind the Toyota Rav4 on a busy road in a residential area a few miles west of the Las Vegas Strip.
Police said Toyota ignited and the driver died. She was not immediately identified.
In a statement, police said 22-year-old Ragus “died after being charged with drunk driving.”
Rag and his female passenger were hospitalized. Authorities explained that rug injuries were not life-threatening. His female passenger was not immediately identified.
No immediate claim was made. Steve Wolfson, a lawyer in the Clark County district, said he knew of the crash and would wait for the results of a police investigation.
In Nevada, probation is not an option to be convicted of the cause of death of drunk driving, which could be sentenced to two to 20 years in state prison.

The Raiders have issued a statement that the team is aware of an accident involving a lag. “We are overwhelmed by the loss of life and our thoughts and prayers are directed at the families of the victims,” the team said. “We are in the process of collecting information and there are no further comments at this time.”
Ruggs is a second year wide receiver that ranked 12th overall in the 2020 draft after a three-year productive career in Alabama. This includes helping Crimson Tide win the national championship as a freshman in 2017.
Ruggs has made 24 catches and two touchdowns this season at the team’s best 469 yards. As a 2020 rookie, he made 26 catches and two touchdowns at 452 yards.
Originally from Montgomery, Alabama, Ragus won 12 passes and six touchdowns at 229 yards as a freshman in Alabama in 2017. With a 26-23 victory against Georgia in the championship game, he won a 6-yard touchdown pass from Tua Tagovailoa.
