Tuscaloosa, Alabama (AP) — Bryce Young passed 270 yards and five touchdowns, three to Jameson Williams and third-placed Alabama to beat 59-3, New Mexico on Saturday.
Young completed 21 of the 23 passes in just over half, and Crimson Tide (9-1, No. 2CFP) produced the expected bang after a slow start. Alabama dragged a bit before rattling seven touchdowns in 20 minutes to lead Aggie’s (1-9) in half-time 49-3.
Young became the first Alabama quarterback to complete the first 13 passes of the game and played only one drive in the second half of the loss of fumble on New Mexico territory.
Aggie’s couldn’t catch up with speedy Williams, who caught 6 passes at 158 yards. He had 50, 32 and 7 yards of touchdowns and had a fourth callback as he stepped out of bounds.
Brian Robinson Jr. ran all 99 yards and two touchdowns in the first half.
Jona Johnson completed 19 out of 30 passes at 129 yards in New Mexico. This exceeded 587-138. Will Anderson Jr. had two of the seven bags of Tide.

New Mexico: In fact, Ethan Albertson led a long career 50-yard field goal for almost 10 minutes. After that, there weren’t many highlights.
Alabama: Dominated when it started, giving some backups like quarterback Paul Tyson and giving him a fair amount of play time. Former Alabama coach Paul “Bear” Bryant’s great-grandson, Tyson, probably saw the most action in his career and completed 6 out of 8 passes at 43 yards.

In Alabama, several players had to be helped off-field with private injuries, including Punt Returner / Wide Receiver Jojoar, Backup Tailback Roydel Williams, and Safety De Marco Herams.
